A client managing multiple sites contracted Australasian Specialty Coatings to restore the external features of several Heritage listed buildings in a leafy suburb of Northern Sydney. The building exteriors were dirty and in disrepair.
All restoration works and painting needed to meet stringent Heritage guidelines for material selection and colour scheme. It was essential to use qualified Heritage painters for the work.
A light presence was also needed to work in the suburban setting.
Australasian Specialty Coatings determined an access plan using a scaffold system to minimise site noise in the quiet suburban environment.
The buildings were cleaned down carefully using pressure washers and where necessary, by hand.
Areas of loose and degraded render were carefully removed using hand tools, and then restored using traditional materials and techniques.
Heritage approved paints were researched and sourced from a key supplier, and the colours custom-matched to restore the original appearance. Our team of Heritage Painters were able to produce an excellent, attractive finish in fitting with the surroundings.
Finally, Australasian Specialty Coatings sent a full team to clean the site from end to end ensuring no trace of our presence was left save the restored buildings themselves.
The project was finished:
- On Time
- On Budget
- Without Incident
The client went on to contract further Heritage work on the basis of a job well done.
