Brief - Reason For Repair
02. Preparation

Preparation
- Bund needed to be ground to remove previous coating to prepare the concrete and open up capillaries for a stronger bond to the existing floor.
- Expansion joints were cut and cleaned using a v blade then repaired using an epoxy compound to create a stronger joint.
- All inconsistencies are filled with an epoxy mortar to ensure a level surface.
03. Application A

Application - Sealing Coat
- A sealant coat was then applied to the entire surface area of the bund.
- Now the area is sealed it helps prevent any penetration by chemicals.
- Bumpy/rough areas are then sanded and vacuumed.
- The bund is now ready for chemical-resistant coats.
04. Application B

Application - Chemical Coat
- The chemical-resistant coating was applied in two separate coats.
- After each coat wet film thickness measurements are taken.
- 500 Microns were needed for this application.
05. Top Coat

Top Coat - Walkway Installation
- Now that the bund has been completed and tested an anti-slip walkway is to be installed in a traffic grey
- Aggregate was broadcasted throughout the walkway to ensure an anti-slip surface
- The walkway was taped up to ensure a perfect edge was achieved
